What is it that I am? What am I doing? What do I need to do to get through the day? At the end of the day, I can only answer these questions by myself. I am not the only person in the world, and I certainly can’t force myself to be the best version of me. That makes me self-aware. This is a great way for me to learn about myself.
The concept of self-awareness is one of the most confusing parts of our lives. When you find yourself in the world with no knowledge of who you are, you have no idea what to make of it. It can be like trying to learn to walk, when you could just ask someone where the hell they are. So in this case, there’s no way you know who you are.
You see, the idea of self-awareness is a bit like having a car. You need to take it apart and put it back together again, and that takes time. You need to get comfortable with these new pieces of yourself, and you also need to know what they will do when you put them back together. You need to practice them. For example, you might need to learn how to drive.
When thinking of self-awareness it’s important to realise that what’s called “self” is really just a combination of all of the different aspects of your personality that you have. Think of it as a combination of your personality and your thoughts. When you think of yourself as a kind of composite of all of these different aspects, you can become a bit self-aware.
So what happens when you combine all of these different aspects of yourself and your personality into a single entity? You become a person that is self-aware. I’ll try to share a few of the most popular ways to self-awake at the end of this article.
